Passing of One of Our Dearest Members
CUPE Local 1764 is in deep mourning to learn of the sudden and unexpected passing of one of our dearest members, Sally Bouwmeester. Sally worked as a Program Assistant in the Housing Division of the Social Services Department, where she was a truly dedicated and respected colleague and friend of many. Sally was also deeply dedicated to improving the working conditions of her co-workers whereby she attended various union meetings and dedicated her own personal time as a union trustee. Sally will be terribly missed by many. CUPE Local 1764 and it’s entire membership send our deepest regrets to her family and friends during this extremely difficult time.
