CUPE Ontario has been informed OMERS still plans to go ahead with the vote in June regarding the removal of guaranteed indexing of your pension. This is despite the unprecedented public health crisis that is confronting, and rightfully, fully occupying us all.
What is Guaranteed Indexing?Guaranteed Indexing of your OMERS pension provides all members with pension amounts that rise with the rate of inflation. Without guaranteed indexing, you will not receive raises to account for inflation or the costs of living after the date of your retirement.
