Getting there: the 2018 Alternative Federal Budget

The 2018 Alternative Federal Budget provides a blueprint for more sustainable and equitable growth in Canada. Produced annually by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, this year’s edition maps out solutions for reducing child and senior poverty rates, transitioning to a green economy, eliminating inequities for First Nations communities, and supporting women in the workplace through pay equity legislation and meaningful investments in child care. A better Canada is possible – and you can read this year’s roadmap below as we approach the unveiling of the federal budget on February 27.
